A Clean Slate

No, I haven't forgotten about this blog of mine. In fact, I often think of it sitting on the internet, poor and neglected, with no real post since October. Okay, so maybe I'm not quite that emotional. But, I am back blogging to say that this little blog has been neglected for one reason. I have no idea what to post about. I am pretty busy around this time of year and I just don't have time to think of a post idea, find a picture to go with the post, and post the actual post. Still, I do have a desire to keep up blogging because I really enjoy it. So, I have decided that I am going to start a fashion blog. I am not starting a fashion blog because I think I have tons of style and everyone should look up to me or because I want to get famous and acquire tons of readers. No, I am going to start a fashion blog simply because I love fashion. I am by no means an expert in the area and many days I sit in front of my closet having no idea what to wear. But, I do think having a fashion blog inspire me to be more creative with my outfits . Instead of just wearing jeans and a shirt all the time, I'm going to try to spice it up a bit more by mixing in skirts, dresses, adding more jewerly, etc. You know what I would love from my readers (the ones that haven't unfollowed yet that is) is some fashion blog name ideas. I won't definitely use one of the names, but I am feeling a bit out of creative ideas. I am trying not to make the name too clique, but not too obscure either. Some ideas of things I like are: Houndstooth, Chevron, Cupcakse, Flats, Frappachinos, Cashmere, Colored Jeans, Maxis, Owls, and Ice cream.

Modest Fashion Show- Day 5- Western

Western, what a fun category! I originally picked out a plaid shirt and a jean skirt and belt, but the plaid shirt was really hot and just not practical for this time of year. So, I opted for sort of a "Country Chic" look. This dress, my mom actually bought for herself, but it was too tight so she gave it to me! It is a brand new dress with tags (orginally $98, oi!) and we got it at a consignment store for $12. What a steal!

When I realized that today's theme was Nautical, I almost panicked. What in the world do I have that is Nautical? Thankfully, I found an ugly black shirt in my closet and last night with paint and a paint brush, I transformed it into an..

So, when looking through my closet last night, I realized I do not have very much flower clothing. Thankfully, I did find this shirt and it went perfectly with my new red corduroy jeans!
