Countdown 2 Christmas-DAY ONE!

So today, you had to read Luke 2:1-7 blog about what it means to you:

So in Luke 2:1-7, I realized really how Jesus was born. I think I sometimes I just think "Oh yeah, Jesus was born in a nice red barn with a few *nice smelling* sheep to cuddle up next to" BEEP wrong, AK! Jesus was born to the lowliest of the lowly in the lowliest of lowly of places. It might not have even been a barn, it might have been a cold, hard cave!

The other thing you had to do is post a picture of a family member and say what you THINK their favorite part of Christmas is and what it really is. Let's see...

(Liz is on the left)

I think that her favorite part of Christmas is waking up and drinking hot cocoa by the fire.

She's napping right now and I barely got her to talk. She said her favorite part is:
Waiting on the Steps
I'm assuming this means on Christmas morning when our parents make us wait for what seems like an hour (only a minute) until we can come an open presents. :D

Countdown 2 Christmas-confused

The fact that NOT ONE person has joined my Countdown 2 Christmas is kinda sad.Maybe you didn't join because it's too much, maybe because YOU don't have time. Maybe you looked at it and said "Oh surely some other people will join and it won't matter that I didn't." Just so you know, if ONE person joined it maybe I would feel better. Countdown to Christmas was made to help you remember that...

Who wouldn't want to do something that helps you remember that? Well, I'm not saying you HAVE to join, I'm just saying that it would mean a lot if you would. It's not THAT time consuming, you just read about 6 verses and post a picture of your Christmas tree or what I assigned for that day. Maybe joining this could help when one day the government takes Christmas out of Christmas. When singing O Come All Ye Faithful is illegal and when we don't celebrate CHRISTMAS, we celebrate the HOLIDAYS. Maybe I can send a letter to the White House with the link to how many people joined this and MAYBE that would make  a difference.
PLEASE JOIN ME IN COUNTDOWN TO CHRISTMAS!

Hello there! I'm Kendra, and I'm excited to be doing a guest post for Anna Katherine! I'm honored to be adding a few of my thoughts to her awesome blog. *wink*

Well, I'm a thirteen-year-old Christian missionary girl who lives in Egypt. I kinda posted this Christmas on my blog already, but they were both Christmas related.

I need to stop rambling. This is on somebody else's blog. :-o

I'm sure everyone is excited about Christmas. Who wouldn't be? It seems as if this year I'm not as excited as I was the last year. Maybe it's because I'm getting older? I mean, Christmas is just one of the 365 days of the year. But it's special. Jesus came down to us, as a tiny little baby. Maybe not on December 25th [we don't know the exact date], but that is the day we celebrate Christmas.

A few of the other reasons why I'm not as excited about Christmas are these: I'm not going to be seeing my extended family. There won't be any snow. We probably won't get any presents [we didn't have enough room to pack much].  We don't have Christmas decorations. There really aren't any other people in Egypt that celebrate Christmas.

Being a missionary kid is hard sometimes.  You may be feeling sorry for me right now. Don't. Because what is Christmas really about?

C H R I S T.

It's not about seeing your family, it's not about snow, it's not about getting more earthly stuff, it's not about Christmas trees, candles, and lights.

When you're sitting around the fire drinking hot chocolate, laughing with family, and opening presents, remember that's about Jesus, coming into the world as a baby and dying for you.

But -- don't get me wrong! It's not like you can't have fun on Christmas! *wink* Don't get too caught up in all the jolly fun though.

What is your favorite part of Christmas?

Oh, and if you'd like to stop by my blog you can do so here:

Hope you have an awesome day!

3rd Narnia movie- Voyage of the Dawn Treader

I just went to see this movie TODAY! I don't think I have EVER seen a movie, the first day it was in theaters! Anyways.. about the movie, not how/why I was there. :)

It was probably the most intense, yet best Narnia movie ever made.

I loved Reepicheep, this cute little thing. (Oww!!! what was that? Don't call me little. Sorr... OR CUTE! Okay.....) Sorry, back to the story (Hey! Be quiet, Reep!) As I was saying before this strong, large warrior mouse (That's more like it. I SAID be quiet!) interrupted me. Reep was a great character in the story and I will tell you no more about Reep, you will just have to find out for your selves)

Haha, Oh.. Eustace! At the beginning of the story I truly thought that Eustace was, well, useless! I thought that they could have left him out, but BOY was I wrong!

Do you wonder who the dragon above is?? Haha! Suspense? Eh? Or do you think he looked a bit like Peter and Lucy's self centered, freckled cousin, at all?

Well...
You all will just have to.... WATCH the movie!! Haha!

Mr./Mrs. Anon.

This this girl/guy, (let's just call him Mr. Anon.) left me a funny comment:

Wow all I can say is that you are a great writer! Where can I contact you if I want to hire you?

First of all he commented on my post that said I had gotten X award from X. Haha! Second of all, even if he had commented on a post I actually had WORDS, it would not have been good! :) And ONE more thing, if he were a regular reader of my blog, he would have seen my email somewhere on the site! Also, no one can hire an 11 year old!  The things that spammers come up with, haha!

Interviews with AK: Tirzah at Tirzah's Delights

Tell me a little about your blog and what you post about. Well, I started my blog a few months after my mom had created hers, at first it started out private with only a few followers but recently I've switched it to an open blog, which is why I'm doing this interview!

What is your favorite part of being on Blogger? (the design, meeting other girls, writing posts, giveaways, etc.) Probably everything! I love contests, posts, but probably my most favorite is receiving comments and followers, they're very fun to have.

When did you ask Jesus to be Lord of your life? Quite a few years ago... it's probably safe to say I don't remember the exact date! =D

How was that experience? Amazing.

What are your siblings' names and ages? Is it okay that I use their blog names? Lets see, Banana Taffy, he's 15, Chocolate Taffy, he's 14, Strawberry Taffy, that's me, 12, Blue Raspberry Taffy, turning 8, Bubblegum Taffy, 5, Taffy Taffy, turning 3, and “mystery” taffy, she's on the way! (hopefully a girl!)

What is your favorite part about Christmas? Oh boy, this is the hardest question by far... I have no idea! I absolutely love everything about Christmas! Music the most though! I'm probably the only one who can crack up for no particular reason when seeing fake Christmas tree's at Costco in October!

What 3 characteristics do you most strive to have? Patience, Faith, Cheerfulness.

I'm sure she'd love for you to follow her blog, Tirzah's Delights here!

A Reccomended Blog (did I spell that right?)

Sorry that the title is misspelled, but I am not really in a "spelling" mood. But, I have a really good friend (like an "I've seen her in person friend" one that when I met her, I looked into her REAL eyes, not her blogger profile pic, haha!) So she has this cute blog that she started fairly recently, I would encourage you to go check it out here: My God Given Life
